Is That Your Real Name?????

Coy

Your first name Coy has given you a rather quiet, reserved, serious, studious nature. You have sensitivity and appreciation for the finer and deeper things of life, the beauties of nature, music, art, and literature. The people who mean the most to you are those who can offer you intellectual companionship. It is only when you are among people who understand your deeper nature that you can really be yourself. The experience of having your remarks taken lightly or belittled, particularly during the early years of your life, has caused you to keep your thoughts and feelings to yourself. You do not express yourself spontaneously when conversing with others; hence other people may often regard you as being aloof, and even unfriendly. Your difficulty in putting your deeper thoughts and feelings into words can lead to problems in more intimate associations. This name has caused you to live much within yourself. You are rather easily hurt or offended. At such times you can withdraw into a mood, and may not even speak to others. Aside from these points, this name contains many fine qualities. You are a thoughtful, analytical person, and you know your own mind, even though you may not speak it. You are very conscientious and competent in all that you do. You take seriously any responsibilities that you have--in the home, in the community, or at a job. Worry and mental depression could be problems in your life. Physically, any weaknesses in your health would centre in the heart, lungs, or bronchial organs.

I am a Female. Born on October 16th 1946. All my life, I have been asked "Is That Your Real Name????? Yes, it is. Who gave me that name???My Mother did. She was babysitting for some people and they had a little girl that jumped on the bed and was a brat but; she still enjoyed the name of Coy. So, she named me Coy Annette.

I graduated from Woonsocket Public High School in May of 1965. I am a proud Woonsocket Alumni.

I met Joseph David Paul Clark in July of 1966 by August of 1966 we were married. Right, after he said Hi!!!I'm Joe the first thing he said was "Is that your real name????? Then, where are you from?????Would you like to play a game of cards with me and be my Partner.?????I have been married to my Card Partner for 31 Beautiful & Blissful years. I Love him dearly and hopefully we will grow old together. We have two beautiful daughters and six great grandchildren.

The funniest thing that happened to me with the name of Coy, happened when I was asked to preregister for surgery at a hospital. I preregistered and when I arrived they had me assigned to the surgical floor which was correct. However, it was the Men's Surgical Floor. I had to wait for them to put me on the correct floor and get me off of the Men's Surgical Floor before I could enter the hospital. I believe I was having my Tonsils removed. I had preregistered as Mrs. Coy A. Clark and how they got me assigned on the men's floor is beyond me.

I have filled out loan applications, owned and run my own business, applied for credit. I can fill out the forms and wouldn't you know. The mailman delivers the letter-guess what?????They invariably address it to Mr. Coy Clark. I have to send in corrections all the time. They just automatically assume that Coy is a man's name. Well, surprise, there are females with the name of Coy. I am one of them.

I would like to provide this space for and give all the people out there in cyberspace the chance to tell their funny story and register their name of Coy (male or female) on my homepage E-mail me at [email protected]
